DeAndra may be smaller than most of her students, but don't be fooled.. she's a fiesty little 'Yote with a big heart and personality! This is DeAndra's second year at Chinook with the Coyote Family.
DeAndra was born and raised in sunny Lethbridge, Alberta. After high school, she traded in the Southern AB wind for the West Coast rain and attended Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC, pursuing her love for dance, the arts, and academics, and graduated with a BFA (Dance) from SFU. The winding path of life & purpose led her back to the University of Lethbridge where she completed an After Degree in Education (English), and has been teaching ever since! DeAndra is an energetic educator who is constantly engaged in learning and growing alongside her students- as she often says, "teamwork makes the dream work!"
Apart from being an English teacher at Chinook, you may find DeAndra involved in the local arts community, out on the water with her family, dancing down the street or riding her bright pink bike, fishing, practicing yoga, cooking, or possibly channeling her inner Beyonce.
