Josh Maret

Josh Maret hails from Calgary, where he completed his undergraduate degree in English. After spending sales, he finally followed his passion and became a teacher. His students are often surprised at the list of different jobs he’s done.

He completed his B.Ed. Degree at the University of Lethbridge in 2016 (seven years after his wife told him he’d make a great teacher) and has been teaching ever since. Apart from his current position teaching Spanish, French, Coding, Robotics, and Photography at Chinook, he enjoys teaching English 30-1 every year in summer school at Victoria Park.

After school, you can find him coaching football or running the robotics team, and when he’s not here, you might run into him anywhere with a camera in his hands.
