Teacher Counsellor

I am grateful and so excited to be a part of the Chinook community in the role of Teacher Counsellor. I am passionate about building positive relationships with students, their families, and other supports to integrate mental health and wellness in the learning environment. My experiences as a middle school teacher, Victim and Witness Services Worker for the Lethbridge Police Service, Student Support Worker, and graduate student completing a Master of Counselling in Counselling Psychology have led me to the Chinook Wellness Team.

My husband and I have two children who we love spending time with. Together we enjoy camping, playing board games, building Lego, reading books, bike riding, swimming, playing baseball, taking walks to explore the world, and collecting bugs and rocks of all kinds.

I believe all students have great potential and by supporting individuals in their growing edges and encouraging their strengths, we can provide a learning environment for them to thrive. I am proud to be a part of a staff that values each student and recognizes the individual needs of our community members by prioritizing mental health and wellness. Please feel free to stop by and see me in the Wellness Centre where I connect with students, parents, and/or teachers one-on-one or in a group setting.
