Dance

Hi, I'm Alisha Hornberger, I am privileged to teach Dance, Yoga, and English here at Chinook High School. I love working here and feel #blessed to work with such an incredible staff and student body. I was born and raised in Calgary, and after High School followed my dream of being a News Reporter by getting my Broadcast News Diploma from SAIT in Calgary. As dreams do, it changed and I shifted my focus to dance, where I got my BA in dance at the University of Calgary. During my time in the dance program, I figured out that I wanted to teach dance to High School students, so I went on to get my BEd from the University of Lethbridge. My first teaching adventure was in Medicine Hat, and then I moved back here to Lethbridge to teach at LCI, and then finally landed here at Chinook.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, ice cream,  swimming, watching dinosaur movies (shout out to Jurassic Park) and embroidering my feelings into random patterns. I live on the south side and enjoy the loooooooong trek to the west side every morning because I know I get to be a part of the interesting, crazy, and beautiful life of teaching at a High School.

Remember:

-Make good choices

-You are valuable and important

-You are worthy

-You are loved

If you need me to remind you of this, stop in and say hello.
