Victoria Karmali

Victoria Karmali was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she grew up and attend NSCAD University. During her time at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Textiles. This included jacquard weaving, pattern design, fabric dying and screen printing. She also attended Rhode Island School of Design for a semester focusing on interiors including fabric and wall paper pattern. She moved to Lethbridge in 2011 to complete a Bachelor of Education in Art at the University of Lethbridge. Victoria is passionate about the importance of art education and believes everyone has the potential to engage in creative practice. She welcomes all students to try an art class at Chinook!

Victoria now happily calls Lethbridge home. Victoria and her husband spend their weekends in the mountains skiing, cycling and hiking. She is passionate about health and wellness and loves creating delicious meals to share with friends and family. Victoria helps run Chinook’s Vigorous Club, Triathlon Club and Art Club.
