Mathematics

My name is Chantel Tillsley and I grew up on a pig farm just outside of Picture Butte. As a kid was involved in 4-H and had my own chickens, sheep and horses. We rode dirt bikes and drove tractors, as well as many other fun things you can do when you live on a farm in the middle of nowhere. I went to school up until grade 9 in Picture Butte then came to Lethbridge for high school. I graduated from the U of L in 2007 with a B.Ed/B.Sc majoring in Mathematics.

I have been teaching Math at a high school level since 2007 (you can do the math ;) ... minus two fabulous years I spent on maternity leave with my kids. I started my teaching career at Wilson the day after I graduated until the end of June. The following year I got a job at LCI, which is where I had the privilege of doing my internship, and following that I made the move to Chinook in 2012. I have really enjoyed my time at Chinook. I have met amazing colleagues and wonderful students. I look forward to many great years and relationships yet to come.

Some of my favorite things to do while not at work is spending time with my two beautiful children and husband. I love to golf in the summer and snowboard in the winter. Before I had kids, I coached high school volleyball for 9 years and still enjoy playing co-ed when I have the chance in the evenings.
